Common mode filters (CMF) are made by winding conductive wire around a toroidal core or an EI core. The coupling coefficient or frequency characteristics of CMFs vary according to their winding methods or core types. The leakage flux is 0, i.e., all magnetic flux passes through the core, and the coupling coefficient of a CMF in which all the magnetic flux passes through the wire is 1. This is an ideal CMF that does not affect the differential mode current in any way. In terms of revenue, the Global Common Mode Filters Market was valued at US$ 645.63 Mn in 2016 and is anticipated to reach US$ 1038.02 Mn by 2025, expanding at a CAGR of 5.5% from 2017 to 2025.

The Global Common Mode Filters Market is enhanced by factors such as:
•	Common mode filters can greatly reduce noise without affecting the signal.
•	Minimized impact on signal for easy system integration.
•	Better efficiency.
•	High current with high inductance value.
•	High speed.

Based on types of winding, the Global Common Mode Filters Market is classified into split winding and bifilar winding. Out of these, split winding dominated the global market in the previous years and is projected to maintain its dominance during the forecast period. A coil with a split winding structure has a relatively large differential mode impedance; therefore, it will attenuate not only noise but signal components as well. Even though it is not idyllic as a CMF, it is more advantageous than a coil with a bifilar structure in terms of heat resistance or pressure resistance.

Among applications, the smartphone segment is estimated to account for the leading share of the global market over the study period. Mobile terminals, such as smartphones and tablets, have digital signal lines, such as USB and MIPI for camera and LCD control. Their narrow housings are also equipped with cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and other wireless communication functions. Moreover, distinctive applications for Ethernet common mode filters are onboard cameras that can be further shrunken and designed for even higher operating temperatures.

North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa and Latin America form the key regional segments studied in the report. Out of these, Asia-Pacific is expected to be the foremost market for various sectors such as consumer electronic devices and appliances, automobiles, and healthcare among others. Furthermore, Asia Pacific is predicted to play a crucial role in the market revenue as well.

Some of the significant players functioning in the Global Common Mode Filters Market include Murata Power Solutions (Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd.), NXP Semiconductors, Samsung Electro-mechanics, STMicroelectronics, TDK Corporation. Few of the other prominent players are LAIRD, ON Semiconductor, Texas Instruments Incorporated, Vishay Intertechnology Inc., Walsin Technology Corporation among others.
