Medium-density fiberboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product, produced using composite wood, or wood waste that is fastened together using either heat, resin or pressure. There is no obvious wood grain, rings, or splinters in MDF which provides a homogeneous surface. Inferable from its smoothness, it is viewed as a great substrate for veneer. In the commercial sector, it is available in two types: Standard medium-density fiberboard and Moisture Resistant (MR) medium-density fiberboard. Standard medium-density fiberboard is used for interior purposes, for example, furniture and general fit-outs. However, MR medium-density fiberboard is suitable for high moistness ranges, for example, laundries and lavatories, and for furniture in tropical regions. MDF is generally denser than plywood. It is made up of separated fibers but can be used as a building material similar in application to plywood. It is stronger and much denser than particle board. The Medium Density Fiberboard Market, which was esteemed at US$ 6.01 billion in 2016, is relied upon to achieve an estimation of US$ 15.48 billion by 2025, developing at a CAGR of 11.3% amid the forecast time frame 2017-2025. The APAC market alone is forecast to be worth $7.59 billion by 2025, accounting for XX% of the overall Medium Density Fiberboard market. The global potential demand for panel boards is estimated at 250 million m3 per year and the potential market for MDF alone is 100 million m3. Popularity of medium density fiberboard (MDF) in the global market has driven MDF makers to expand their production limit. This has brought about an expanded prerequisite for raw materials to gratify the market demand. Medium-density fiberboards offer better qualities as compared to other compressed engineered wood products, for example, particle board or hardboard. Medium-density fiberboards leave a superior completing surface just after a couple of layers of paint. This has emerged as the essential factor which has added to its market development. Notwithstanding, medium-density fiberboards have consistency in strength and sizes and have stable measurements because of which they don't expand or contract. There has been strong growth in South America and Southeast Asia, although growth of production in North America and Europe has been on the verge of development. Based on regions, the Global Medium Density Fiberboard Market is segmented into North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East & Africa, and Latin America. Among these, Asia Pacific had the largest market in the global MDF industry with a share more than XX% in 2017. It is anticipated to continue its dominance in the MDF market during the forecast period. Europe was second largest leading regional market for MDF after the Asia Pacific region. It is also anticipated to boost the market growth in this region during the forecast period. North America is likely to show significant growth in the coming years. The report provides both, qualitative and quantitative research of the Global Medium Density Fiberboard Market, as well as encompasses worthy insights into the rational scenario and favored improvement methods adopted by key contenders.
